The town of Montejaque is located at the foot of the Sierra del Hacho, between Cerro Mures and Cerro Tavizna, at a height of 687 meters above sea level, 21 km from Ronda and 138 km from the city of Malaga.

The old town, in the upper part of the town, is full of picturesque places, with its labyrinth of narrow streets, typical of the Muslim era, and houses with whitewashed facades.

Montejaque is a strategic nucleus to undertake outdoor activities.

Part of the municipal term of Montejaque is integrated into the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park and extends between the Sierra de Grazalema, the Guadiaro valley and the Sierra de Libar.

Montejaque's orography is rugged and it includes peaks such as Peñón de Mures, with 865 meters, Cerro Tavizna, with 899 meters, El Hacho, with 1,065 meters, and Pico Ventana, with 1,298 meters.

The Gaduares river crosses the municipality and with its course shapes the well-known Hundidero-Gato crossing, about 5 km from the town.

There are countless activities that can be done in and from Montejaque.
